Moreover, John Ruskin argues that ‘The measure of any great civilisation is in its cities, and a measure of a city’s greatness is to be found in the quality of its public spaces, its parks and its squares.’ Thus green space must be a key consideration in urban planning, amounting for numerous health benefits and contributing to the livelihood of a part of a city or neighbourhood.
